Roof Rescue

November 16, 2007 early afternoon

Dispatch stated that “a roofer had nailed himself to the roof” and EMS was requesting assistance.
On arrival it was determined that the worker had accidentally shot himself in the leg with a pneumatic nail gun.
A 1 ½” roofing nail was embedded in his thigh but fortunately was not attached to the roof.
Warwick EMS Captain Cassanite dressed the wound while still on the roof.
The victim was then placed in a Stokes Basket and lowered to waiting EMTs via Truck 633’s bucket.
